Setting a clear intention is the first step in manifesting the change in your life that you desire. An intention is different from an expectation or a goal. Our expectations are based on assumptions that we know what, where, with whom and how. Goals are usually set in the future time and represent the desired outcomes of our actions. An intention is a positive affirmation, which is set in the present time and focuses on "what" you are looking to manifest rather than "how."

We must see the universe as abundant, full of opportunities, possibilities and love. Conscious and incredibly intelligent, the cosmos is ready to listen to you. The only thing, this incredible system of logic and phenomenal technology does not listen to your words, it reads your energy. Think of yourself as a walking transmitting tower, what type of energy are you sending out?

When you are upset about things (related to work, family or personal problems), you radiate the unfavorable energy of frustration and dissatisfaction. This energy is amplified and returned right back to you. Why hurt your own luck? Instead, try to focus on the positive and good things in your life (seeing the glass half full vs. half empty sort of thing) and communicate this type of energy into the universe. What type of energy are you looking to amplify and attract into your life?

Energy follows focus. Focus your attention on what you are looking to manifest in your life today. Believe it in your mind, feel it in your heart, create it in your life. Setting an intention is a powerful way to direct your positive energy towards your deepest desires and construct, transform, or heal an area of life that you find incomplete or unfulfilled.

Intentions are alive with infinite possibilities! Be creative with your intention, but try not to set too many limits within the pool of probabilities. Structure your positive affirmation in the way that allows the universe to surprise you. Stay open to more possibilities, opportunities and unexpected benefits.

An intention is also a state of being. Tap into the desired energetic state of being! You are now living in the energy of the intention! You are not simply creating the intention and then going on about your life and letting it fulfill itself. You are feeling and expanding into your intention on a daily basis.

Imagine your goal as you have already achieved it, and the abundant universe has magnificently granted your wish to you. You feel happy, thankful and grateful. There are no "ifs, " there are no "maybes." You made it! You are a success! You are here. The time is now. The universe is on your side.

How to set your intention?

  • Release the "How" can I make this happen and embrace the "What" it is you truly want to make happen.
  • Focus and concentrate, impressing your mind upon the intention.
  • Close your eyes and envision your intention as already complete. See the tangible result in your mind's eye. See specifics such as the environment, the people, hear the sounds, be present in the experience. Spend anywhere from 3-5 minutes on this.
  • Say your intention aloud with excitement. Feel it now!
  • Deeply connect with the feeling. Let your heart's longing, your deepest burning desire, rise up as feeling of joy, happiness, excitement and gratitude that your intention has already manifested.
  • Focus on the energy of gratitude. Visualize that energy in form of bright, golden light and project that light with all your love and appreciation into the universe.
  • Release and surrender. Your intention has already manifested in the quantum field. Stay open and receive!
  • Take actions congruent with your intention in your daily life. Stay present in this newly achieved quantum state. Maintain gratitude!
  • The source of all manifestations is unlimited! Think, feel, and act in unison with this unlimited source.
